District RFE Chair, Anne Brown, is pleased to announce that District 6080 will have a Rotary Friendship Exchange with District 3132 in central India during the 2010-11 Rotary year.Tentatively the RFE is scheduled for October 2010 when District 6080 Rotarians will spend two weeks visiting in District 3132 and we will then host our Rotarian friends from India for a similar period in April or May 2012.
Rtn. Sachin Jamma of District 3132 writes, “Our Dist 3132 lies in the heart of Indian subcontinent and has myriad of interesting geographic, historical and contemporary attractions being one of the finest Rotary District in India. The District has 2400 Rotarians spread over 67 clubs in 10 Revenue Districts of the state of Maharashatra. The District extends 400 kms east to west and 450km. north to south. Our District is having ideal Indian culture with traditional family systems. We can say our District represents India in real sense. India has plenty of beautiful destinations like Kashmir, Tajmahal, Goa, Kerala. Some of them are in or nearby our district.”
District 6080 Rotarians will come to Mumbai and will then stay with two or three hosts during the visit.Activities will include visiting Rotary projects and sight seeing at either Goa, Aurangabad, Bijapur, Hampi or Hyderabad.Tourist places to be visited will be decided later.Drn. Sachin Jamma has also offer to help make arrangements for any District 6080 Rotarians who may wish to visit southern or northern India after the RFE.

Dear District6080 Rotarians,
The purpose of the RFE is to foster friendship between two districts and that includes not only the participants but also the other members of the club.Outbound members need to be able to serve as hosts, along with their club, for 3-4 days when our inbound members are in our district.
WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING WITH OTHER DISTRICTS TO EVALUATE THE INTEREST AND FEASIBILITY OF AN RFE FOR THIS ROTARY YEAR.WATCH THIS SPACE FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS.
