Youth Services

As our clubs dive into a new Rotary year full of possibilities it is good to have support to help us with our endeavors. District 6080 is unique in that we have chairs for each of the areas in youth service. Below please find the contact information for each of your contacts.

Interact:

Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self. The Interact club is mentored by one or two Rotary clubs. The basic goals for each Interact club are one community based service project and one service project that builds international understanding. October 30-November 5 is World Interact week. Interactors around the world celebrate the creation of this service organization. There is also a video contest that Rotary International holds every year. The 2017 award winner was Mark R Isfeld Secondary and you can find their video here. The guidelines will be officially published on 1 September 2018 on the Interact Facebook page.

Rotary International creates a citation for Interact. You can find it here. Scroll down as it is attached with the Presidential citation.

RYLA:

The Missouri RYLA Academy is a 4-day, 3-night training program for high school sophomores and juniors who exhibit a desire for community service. Developed by some of Missouri’s top professional educators, the curriculum is designed to identify and enhance the qualities of Servant Leadership for each participant, train them on how to successfully implement a service project, and inspire them to live a lifetime of “Service Above Self.” Currently there are two academies held each summer. Final projects created by the students can be found at missouriryla.com.

Rotaract:

Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18-30 to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. World Rotaract week is March 11-17, 2019 For some great inspiration check out the Rotaract Outstanding Project Award winners here. Information and links for handbooks etc can be found here. And 7 D6080 students are outbound for Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Colombia and Brazil. What an exciting time for the district and their Rotarians.
