Notes from the Governor
Let the New Year’s resolutions begin. Whatever the good intentions last year, now is the time we all start fresh, highly motivated and ready to make a difference.
I am certainly no exception. We are half way through this Rotary year. The first half I must say I feel pretty good about, but there is plenty more to be done and resting on what has already been done is not on my list of resolutions. My list goes something like this:
- Loosing 10 pounds of not so lean body mass.
- Making my marriage a priority.
- Giving my business some badly needed attention.
- Facilitating record breaking Foundation giving in 2016-17.
- Helping clubs be the most energized they have ever been.
I hope you are thinking about your list and what matters to you this year.
There is never a better time to take a moment to be thankful for all our blessings and to do a little soul searching for what matters most to us. Don’t discount the power of writing down your goals. There is something about putting them on paper that makes a difference.
Oh and by the way, if you really want to make sure you get your goals accomplished, tell someone your goals who will hold you accountable.
In closing, let me just say thanks for helping me have a successful year by holding me accountable.
