Here is positive news to welcome the “New Future.” We in Rotary District 9640 in Australia, set a new “Benchmark” on 1st January to end the first 6 months of this Rotary year from July to December 2020 with an 102 member growth and a 97% membership retention. We are the 9th largest Rotary district in Australia out of 19. We have led Rotary Zone 8 Membership growth since 2018. This team believed in my “positive attitude & enthusiasm” that we can “attract” new members to Rotary even during a crisis. We focused on 4 basics. Starting new clubs, inspiring clubs who “wish” to grow, deliver small group training to “club clusters”, increase awareness on The Rotary Foundation. We chartered 3 new clubs, 44 of 56 clubs grew or retained members, clubs communicated with each other and contributed US$190,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
