Jefferson City Rotary Club’s “Rotary Student Government Day” postponed until April 16th

Due to the snow storm and hazardous driving conditions Missouri recently experienced, the Jefferson City Rotary Club’s “Rotary Student Government Day” was postponed until April 16th. Those previously registered for the cancelled Feb. 21 date will have their registration fees returned and their reservations will be cancelled.

A new agenda and registration form has been developed for the April 16th event. Those who had previously registered are asked to re-register for the newly established date. New applicants are encouraged to register as well.

The tentative schedule for Student Government Day is:

7:30 – 9:00 a.m.
Registration in the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda ñ 3rd Floor.
Assignment to Group A, B or C.

9:00 a.m.
Assembly in Rotunda ñ 3rd Floor

9:10 – 9:55 a.m.
Group A: House of Representatives/Senate Chambers
Group B: Meeting with several Executive Departments
Group C: Supreme Court Building

9:55 – 10:40 a.m.
Group A: Meeting with several Executive Departments
Group B: Supreme Court Building
Group C: House of Representatives/Senate Chambers

10:40 – 11:25 a.m. Group A: Supreme Court Building
Group B: House of Representatives/Senate Chambers
Group C: Meeting with several Executive Departments

11:45 a.m. Lunch at Capitol Plaza Hotel
Featured Speaker: Secretary of State Jason Kander

1:00 p.m. Adjourn
