I am proud to announce that Past President Laura West of the Butler Rotary Club has agreed to accept the position of Assistant Governor for region 1 in District 6080 for the next two years. Laura will be keeping a close touch with and providing support for the clubs in Clinton, Harrisonville, Belton/Raymore and her own club in Butler.
Laura joined Rotary in 2006. She is a Paul Harris Fellow and served as club president during the 2011-12 year.
I must extend a great deal of thanks to Past District Governor Rita Esterly who worked tirelessly over many months to fill the District’s last AG position. It was through Rita’s efforts that we now have Laura as part of our District Officer Team today.
