Pulaski County Interact students braced themselves against the cold to raise about $500 to buy food for students who might not otherwise have anything to eat. The Waynesville Middle School students, associated with the Rotary Club of Pulaski County (Club #58661 of District 6080), collected the funds for the Snack in a Pack program, which provides entrees, vegetables, fruits and snacks for children in need during the weekends and holidays. Interact students hosted the drive on Jan. 18 to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as part of the Waynesville R-VI’s district-wide Day of Service, led by volunteers in the AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VISTA programs.
