May 2016 Rotary District 6080 Foundation Newsletter

Please read the news in the District 6080 May Foundation Newsletter. It contains information on changes to the Rotary constitution and By-Laws recently decided by the Council on Legislation. The listing of 2015-16 Star Clubs is included together with naming of the Thayer-Mammoth Springs Rotary club as a 100 percent Sustaining Member club and six other clubs as Every Rotarian Every Year. An urgent plea is for contributions to be sent to The Rotary Foundation to support it programs such as the District Simplified Grants of which news from Columbia South is included together with the latest data on polio eradication and a monthly report from Global Scholar Jenna Guillen studying in Australia. Please review information on the District Leadership Academy and enroll with at least one other member from your Rotary club.

There will not be a June Foundation Newsletter as I will be attending the Rotary International convention in Seoul, Korea, the 17th RI convention that I have been privileged to attend. My good wish to you is that you plan to attend the 2017 RI convention in Atlanta. It is nearby and will change your view of Rotary and your future engagement.

Yours in Rotary Service,
Raymond E. Plue
