Of all the philanthropic organizations in the world, Rotary International took second place in the Ten Million Charity Miles Giveaway offered by United Airlines during the month of December. The successful campaign, spurred on by thousands of Rotarians worldwide, will allow for thousands of miles of airline travel over the coming year which will facilitate humanitarian projects and stretch finite budgets to allow Rotary to do more good work.
The top vote-getter for the 2012 contest was Shriners Hospitals for Children, followed by Rotary International, with the Wounded Warrior project coming in third. A complete list can be found at 10millioncharitymiles.com.
Thanks to all District 6080 Rotarians who voted for Rotary!
