WHS Interact students donate good bags to Genesis House

The Waynesville High School Interact Club assembled and delivered goody bags for the Genesis House during the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

“We want to give back to our local charities,” says Jon Moore, president of the WHS Interact Club.

Students delivered feminine products, baby wipes, diapers and other hygiene items to help Genesis residents. They also went to the Life Care Center and visited with leaders there about forming a partnership to benefit residents.

Interact is Rotary’s service club for youth ages 12 to 18. The Rotary Club of Pulaski County sponsors the WHS Interact Club and Rotarian Charles Quinn volunteers with its members.

Participants included Interact members Kira Metcalf, Jordan Hammock, Amanda Parton, Allison Loveless and Jon Moore; Interact staffers Charles Quinn and Kyrene Resel; and Good Samaritan staff members Suzanne Wilber, Heather Frabel and Dawn O’Neal.
