Rotary investments pay long-term dividends SAVING LIVES

Dr. Patricia Wolff founded Meds & Food for Kids (MFK) in 2003, after volunteering in Haiti as a medical missionary for 15 years. She was in despair of watching children die but knew it didn’t have to be that way. A Rotary International grant was instrumental in the organization’s early days…Ten years later, MFK remains proud and grateful for the continuing friendship with Rotary Clubs both close to home and around the world. On Sunday April 20, MFK participated in the Music for Peace concert in Jefferson City, MO at the State Capitol.

55th Annual Student Government Day A Success

One of the Rotary Club of Jefferson City’s signature service projects to area youth is its annual Student Government Day. High school students from Jefferson City and across the 6080 District are nominated by their teachers or local Rotarians to attend a half-day program that provides the students with a unique and more personal view of State government in Jefferson City.  This year’s participants in the April 16th event included about 130 students from Jefferson City, Columbia, Rolla, Fulton, Salem, Pulaski County, Laurie, Fayette, Buffalo, and Bolivar.

State MDA Ambassador speaks at Rotary Club of Pulaski County

Emily Crabtree, the Goodwill Ambassador for the State of Missouri for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), gave a presentation about the benefits of and fun at MDA summer camp to the RotaryClub of Pulaski County (Club #58661 of District 6080) last month. As the Missouri State Goodwill Ambassador, Crabtree makes public appearances throughout Missouri. She is the daughter of Steve and Tara Crabtree of Pulaski County.
