Local collaboration with Missouri Guard brings clean water to Panama
You can be especially proud of your personal efforts to help poor and destitute populations in Panama over the past two years through the contribution of well-baby kits, water filtration systems, slightly used clothing and hand-driven mobility carts. During DG Rita Esterly’s administration, a committee was formed to launch a humanitarian project for that country. James Wieberg from the Jefferson City Breakfast club was named chair, and the project has continued with several waves of collection and commitment since.

Fulton Rotary Club sponsor Rwandan program and wine tasting
The Fulton Rotary Club has partnered with local businesses and regional organizations to launch a fund-raising project to provide much needed assistance to children in Rwanda; and Rotarians from throughout the area are welcomed to be a part of the February 1st event.

Don’t Meth With Us Project Gets Local Coverage
The “Don’t Meth With Us” campaign conducted by Rotary clubs in Southwest Missouri are having a positive impact amongst the youth in the region. That was exemplified by the recent discovery of a meth jar, discovered and reported by a diligent 13-year old girl. Springfield’s television station KSPR filed this report.

Panama Humanitarian Project A Success
AWESOME! That’s the word describing the Panama humanitarian project undertaken by District 6080 Clubs this year, according to Panama Project committee chair Jim Wieberg of the Jefferson City Breakfast Club. Rotarians throughout District 6080 collected four pallets worth of clothing, sporting and ambulatory equipment and books to help destitute populations in Panama – that’s 150

As you are aware, each quarter we are proposing a district-wide community service project. Since most clubs do seasonal projects for the holidays to support those less fortunate than ourselves, we decided that this quarter we would simply encourage all clubs to continue to do as much as possible for the needy.
