At Zones 24 and 32’s director Bryn Sykes suggestion, we are all working together to get donated supplies to the right area. We are asking that cash donations be made to one fund, the Walter D. head Foundation if Rotary District 7490, c/o Calisto Bertin (our DGN), Bertin Engineering, 66 Glen Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ 07452.
Over 220 Rotarians attend the District Conference in Branson this past month, and I’ve yet to run into anyone who wasn’t pleased by the fellowship, conversations, speakers and informative break-out sessions that filled the agenda.

Springfield SE took top honors in the Rotary District Conference 4-player scramble golf tournament this past weekend on the Payne Stewart Golf Course in Branson. Former Rotary Regional Coordinator (RRC) Rick Tinucci conducted two workshops at the Rotary District Conference and he has graciously agreed to share the Powerpoints through the District web site so they might be used as the basis for presentations at the club level.
I am just getting back home and unpacked after the District 6080 Conference in Branson, but I must take a couple of minutes to thank the District Conference Committee for producing one of the most enjoyable and meaningful conferences I’ve ever attended. (Though some may consider me a bit biased.)
While the district conference will be accepting late and walk-in conference registrations, we need to turn in final meal counts to the Radisson Hotel next Tuesday (October 9), so if you want to be assured of being served the prime rib or other primary entrée selections, you need to have your registration and meal reservations completed by then.
